Steve, sorry to ask here, but the other areas seem to have no reply button any longer. I realize the shirts are 100% cotton. Are they pre-shrunk? This will help us decide if we need to order the correct size or one larger. Thanks.

Even though these shirts are preshrunk if your shirt size is close to being between sizes then you might consider going with the larger size. Your call though.
Please keep in mind that we have to receive an approval of a sample printed shirt from GM. The screens have to be made first. Then a sample printed and shipped to GM. I have no idea of how long approval may take.
Also, those of you ordering from outside the continental US will have different shipping costs than those given above. We will have to weight a package and get your exact address to figure your shipping cost.

I don't think anyone who already ordered got theirs yet or even if the initial first batch of orders were sent into the vendor. ???

Dave, you can still order. Mike, my wife is doing the shirts for us. We are working and waiting on GM approval of the shirt and the design. Once we receive permission we will start to print. I have no control over the approval process. It is slow going to say the least but we are going to make this happen......please be patient with us.

Steve,
Thanks for the update... and many thanks to your wife!

Hi Steve,
Thank you for the update. In my wilder and younger biker days, I was involved with club shirt graphic changes and fresh designs plus ordering so I understand the time and efforts involved. It's not easy! I appreciate what you, your wife and the behind the scenes efforts of others to get these approved are doing.
My compliments to you all!

Up date. We have received tentative approval from GM for the shirt/design. They gave tentative approval to the digital design sent to them but require an actual sample shirt to be sent before they will give final approval. There wasn't any existing art work for the CRG design so the wife created it from scratch. Finding the font was difficult but she finally got the right one. The rest of the design work for making the screens is completed. Need to make the actual screens needed for printing next. She will then print and send sample shirt. Hopefully, the approval turn around will be fast. I know we were shooting for spring on this but as in so many new endeavors it has been slow. Hang in there........we will get this done.

We are now ready to take orders for shirts. I have posted info in the "News" box in the upper right corner of the forum page and provided a link there to shirt info and the ordering link. We will keep the ordering link active for two weeks for the first round of ordering. After two weeks we will then suspend the link, purchase the shirts to print on, print them, and then mail. Remember, we are doing this at cost so we are operating this way to keep from going into the red. Please be patient. As requested we are using Paypal. You can use this even if you do not currently have a Paypal account.

I'm not sure if Steve or Phillip are online, so I took a couple of photos of the one I got from Steve this past weekend... attached..
(Steve may post much better pix later - this one was right out of the dryer... :)

Do you know if the shirts used are pre-shrunk? Usually that will determine which size to get and expect to fit after the first washing.
Thanks!

I haven't worn it since washing the first time, but the label says: FRUIT OF THE LOOM, Heavy Duty Cotton, 100% cotton...
I didn't see anything saying 'pre shrunk'.. but I'm sure Steve will answer that when he comes online...

Only a few days left to get your shirt(s) ordered if you want one. It may be next summer before we do this again. Here again is the link to use to order:

hey Steve can you post a picture of you or a volunteer wearing the shirt please (front and back) . I would like to see how they look actually on someone. thanks

Last full day to order a shirt. After today the ordering link will be deactivated. It most likely will be late spring or early summer before we reactivate the link. If you want to have a shirt to wear to spring 2014 events then you might want to order now because the process from day ordered to mailing takes a few weeks.

Ok question: Once you place your order, do they ship out in bulk? (like do you make them all and then start shipping all at the same time) Just trying to figure out when I might see it :)

We have started printing the shirts. Those with only a print on one side will be processed first and mailed.
-
OK, so if we got one of each way then we'll get the one without first. Just thinking out loud just in case only one shows up we'll know why. Thanks for the heads up Steve.

No. Two shirts per small box and greater than two shirts will be shipped in a larger box. Those who ordered one shirt with only one side printed will be shipping first. We are trying to get all orders out ASAP. Please be patient. There is a lot that must be done to get these out the door. We want to get the shirts out as badly as you want them.......hang in there.

Hi Steve,
Someone recently asked about sweatshirts; since it is almost wintertime here (been in the 30's in Alabama!), I'd be interested in one also (if you were to include them)... :) (even if just for the small front pocket print)...
-
Hi Steve,
Someone recently asked about sweatshirts; since it is almost wintertime here (been in the 30's in Alabama!), I'd be interested in one also (if you were to include them)... :) (even if just for the small front pocket print)...
We are not opposed to doing sweatshirts but there is much more involved that just getting the sweatshirts and printing on them. We would, for one thing, have to redesign/reprogram the web site ordering page since pricing will be different. This requires some special programming on our part (our oldest son actually) because PayPal is not set up well for what we are doing and when you have multiple choices. We would have to reevaluate shipping too. I realize that many will say it can't be that hard but I was shocked at the amount of effort that had to go into the t-shirt project. It takes people's time and effort to get it set up right and to work properly. I know that's not what you were hoping to hear with winter just around the corner. We will look at doing sweatshirts the next round and that will give us time to put things together over the winter.
Steve
-
Ok, since we started this topic. Would the sweatshirts also be in blue? Are we talking hooded sweatshirts?
-
Oh boy, can of worms about to pop open ;D
What colors are offered? Should they be pull over? Should they be zippered front? Should they have hoods? Can we get some without hoods? If pull over, do we want hood pull strings? Are they going to have pockets? Can we get zippered pockets? Can we get Velcro pockets? Hey... Can I get it without pockets? Can we get the end of the sleeves with or with out the reduced pattern that grips your wrist? Or just the straight sleeve end? And on and on and on....
Good news is, my two shirts came and are great. JUST a bit small. But I should be losing more weight soon. They look great!! I appreciate the effort :)
NOW.. we know how much work Mr. Steve and family put into this... SO, I have an idea. Everybody that got a shirt, and is getting a shirt... Send a one dollar bill by mail to him. Cost ya a buck and a stamp. Not a buck a shirt, a buck an order. I have done this in the past with other group efforts like this. It works great. That way it just kinda knocks it down for the family. Maybe 50 bucks, maybe 20, maybe 100 in the gas tank, maybe towards some electrical or what ever?? Then when we order our sweat shirts we throw another buck their way. Come on guys, it's the least we can do. You know this whole thing is taking hours and hours to get all plugged in. And you know they are losing money on the deal. What say ya 'all? Just don't tell the Steve ;) .... Danny
-
I don't think we need to get to crazy with all the available options. I think the guys that are committed to ordering them will end up voicing there preference. Myself I would prefer a pull over with a hood, and then just the CRG logo on the front with website under it (like the t-shirt). But if it gets cold I will probably start with wearing a thermal under the t-shirt. It will be interesting how much the sweatshirt may run. It would be cool if someone had a vacuum sealer to suck that sweatshirt down to t-shirt size for shipping...but I am thinking in a perfect world.

I totally agree with you, Danny... Steve's wife doesn't do this stuff for her health, and it's involving quite a bit of Steve's time as well (we're getting a fighter pilot doing our administrative stuff for us!).. :) anyway, I think the price should be adjusted so they make a decent profit and pay for their time (just as his wife would on any other project), but I suspect Steve talked her into a 'good deal'.. :) All we have to do is order the right size.. :)
-
I'd go for that, so far the cost has been cheaper than a couple of 12 packs ! For my special shirt ;D
-
Danny, I read your first paragraph to my wife and she laughed out loud and said you were feeling her pain. :)
We also appreciate the thought and the support from Gary and janobyte on your idea but we really don't want anyone to send any extra money.........really. Very nice thought but not necessary at all.
Gary is correct, i did convince her we could do this but it was done to give members something to wear out to events to help identify each other and to show pride in their association with CRG.
We can do sweatshirts but need some time to get it all pulled together. I think a pull over sweatshirt itself, with and without a hood, can be had at a reasonable price but the shipping is what drives the total cost up. We did ship a couple of the T-shirts using a vacuum bag in order to get them in a small box but this would just drive up the cost more if a bunch of them needed this done. Right now I think the minimum size we would need to use for the sweatshirts would be a medium box ($12.35) and I think a large box ($16.85) for more than 2 shirts. It is really difficult to predict the box size needed when there are more than one different size shirts ordered. The medium box is going to be even smaller in the near future according to the USPS info.
Right now we are trying to wrap up the T- shirt orders.......the link to order has been reopened so anyone who still wants one this round get your order in right away.
Steve
-
"Can of worms" is right... where does it stop? - hats?, decals?, coffee mugs?, etc, etc.
-
Steve,
I don't know if we are going to listen to you on the dollar deal... ha ha . We will have to see...
As far as sweat shirts go, that's so funny you say pullover. I hate pullovers as they bunch up into your neck, and you have to keep reaching up and pulling down the collar trying to stretch it out. And they trash your hair when putting on and taking off. Zippered down is SO much nicer. But again, cost and all. I don't wanna start a big thing. So lets leave it alone everybody, for now. But Thanx for reopening the shirts. I wanna order more with fronts only.... Danny
-
Steve,
Thanks for opening the order site back up for those of us who wanted a shirts. I just placed my order. So, looking forward to receiving CRG shirt..
Eddie

I got mine last week. Great job Steve. Thanks
Buddy
-
Thanks for reopening the order site! Procrastinated 2 days too long the first time and got shut out. Just ordered 2 shirts. Can't wait to get 'em!

Just a few hours left to order any CRG shirts. Here is the order link: http://www.riversedgesoftware.com/CRG/
Steve
-
Steve, got my shirt yesterday and it looks great !!!! :) 8) ;D
Eddie

Glad to hear that Eddie. I know you will be wearing it with pride. Thanks for the feedback.
Steve
-
Saw a CRG member wearing one of these shirts yesterday at a local car show...are there any still available for purchase?
-
As a newbie , I would also like to buy one or two. I didn't start researching my Camaro till January and I read this post and thought that you couldn't get any more T shirts. So how about it guys ? Is there enough interest in T shirts to maybe restart this thread or run a poll to see how many would like to get some more printed up? Or could it be like my high school prom and maybe someone would rent me one to wear at Charlotte this year? Size 2X please!!!
-
renting shirts.... :D
I think the idea was to run another batch when there was enough of a demand or quantity to justify it. I am sure Steve will chime in here and let you guys know whats on hand (if any), and or start compiling a pre-order list.
I would like to get some conversation going about a possible sweatshirt ;D... ( no pressure Steve)
-
I think the sweat shirt is a great idea for a CRG summer project. But I'm sure its a pain to deal with all the emails and shipping that goes along with putting an order together.
Hear is a thought, would it be possible to have CRG members buy the shirt logo (from CRG) and have a local shirt company make them. That way the person could pick and choose the color t-shirts/sweat shirts they want based on the rules from CRG. Seems like it would be a lot less work on Steve. I realize CRG would lose some control over the shirts..
TMR
-
I wouldn't mind handling it. I know a reliable and reputable screen printer locally. I wouldn't mind handling the shipping either. If Steve wants to mail me the design I can get a few dozen printed up fairly quickly and handle the orders directly through my site. I own a web development firm so I do this stuff every day anyway.
-
I tried to order however, it says ordering is done. I am posting so I can get replies to the thread so I can order for the next batch
-
I believe the way it will work is>the more guys who post they are interested in purchasing a shirt(s), if there is a large enough order than one will get placed later in the year. SO everyone that is interested post how many shirts you want and what size(s), so Steve will be able to get a rough calculation when the time comes.
-
We will reopen the shirt site in the spring. We are also planning on doing sweat shirts. Site needs modified to include them and shipping needs some modification from last years orders. We possess the license for the design so others do not have the right to print our shirt. With us doing the shirts we keep things like cost and shipping as low as possible and the same for all our members. I will let everyone know when we are ready to start taking orders and the link for placing orders but it would be nice to know there is interest.
Steve
-
I will get at least one this go around.
-
I am guessing the choice will be navy blue sweatshirts?
-
I am guessing the choice will be navy blue sweatshirts?
That would be the most cost effective since the screens are ready made. We could do black though using the same screens since the blue or black is the background color.
-
We will reopen the shirt site in the spring. We are also planning on doing sweat shirts.

Steve, Good to know there will be another opportunity to get a shirt. When you state that you are planning on doing sweat shirts, do you mean ONLY sweat shirts? or in addition to T-shirts? I am kinda hot blooded and I am sweating as I write. I need something light weight. I will get a sweat too...still have memories of this past winter, brrr!
