General Discussion / Re: Interesting period photos.... :)

My first SS. Think the pic is from Fall 19 ya 78. Do idea what the tag said or the Vin#. Had black deluxe comfort weave interior rosewood dash and steering wheel, tach and gauges. 350 4 spd. Rear mounted antenna with short spoiler. No air.
Got caught out in snow coming home from my job a grocery store bagger. 35 mph, flipped upside down in ditch. Crushed front passenger front fender and pilar post and roof...though not terribly bad. Could have been fixed, but sold it for parts....Loved those Western Wheels.

Yes there is a lot there. Surprised it doesn’t get in the way. I guess using the same bracket as the front would get in the distributor vacuum advance.

Thanks Mike.
I have a 69. Looks like the brackets are the same or with little difference for all 3 years.

Than you Ed.
looked like the only place it could go, but never seen one mounted there. The front one is mostly only present. Did they typically get removed after the engine was In? Does it hit the firewall or other important parts?
Thanks

Anyone have a pic of a 396 showing the location of the back lift bracket?  Not clear to me where it mounts.

Thanks

Posted this under originality with no responses, so thought I would try here. Thx for your help if you can.

I see this was discussed back in 2016 but with seemingly no final conclusions. Does anyone have a pic of the original set up for the L35? Looking at the aim page 416.  Should it utilize the bracket #8? Is the line shown between that bracket and elbow #5 a metal sleeve with the nylon/plastic hose routed inside or is metal portion carry oil??  Thx for revisiting the subject.

General Discussion / Re: BB curved neck radiator
« on: September 19, 2018, 05:29:55 PM »
Does anyone have pictures of where the Harrison name is stamped? Unfortunately I do not have the original radiator to send out and piece together. I just need the most correct version I can get at this point.
Also, I see two different versions of the curved neck. One seems to be parallel with the radiator top and the other appears to be angled up slightly towards the hood. Which is correct?

Thanks for the info and help.

General Discussion / BB curved neck radiator
« on: September 14, 2018, 03:04:29 AM »
Apparently me asking for information to obtain a radiator is a classified ad. So, instead I will try a new approach.
I ordered a Harrison curved neck radiator from HBC. They called the next day to tell me that they could not get a core made...any idea what that means? I know they make repo radiators, so where do those cores come from? Anyone know if Harrison is still in business and actually makes these radiators? If not, did they just recently stop production?
If anyone has faced a similar situation during a restoration, I would appreciate hearing how you resolved your radiator quest.
Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / EBAY Z11.....Z10
« on: May 23, 2017, 03:37:04 PM »
Surprised nobody has mentioned the Z11 on ebay, that is really a Z10. The owner "somehow" got the wrong trim tag?
Hopefully you have logged both Z11 and Z10 tags as well as the vin.  Is there any info on these cars?
