Was the reverse lockout installed on all 69 Camaro Muncie Transmissions? Any documention avialble showing illustrations and/or operation explanation?
Thanks!

UPC 7 in the assembly manual shows the back drive linkage to prevent starting the car without being in Reverse. I am not sure that is what you are asking. The shifter has a click detent for reverse but no "Reverse Lockout".
-Mark.

rev lockout is what some call the rods and levers that lock the steering wheel when shifter is in rev
also turns on rev lights
there is a rod from the rev lever on the trans, to a crank, then 2nd rod to steering
some Camaro venders show them in their catologs

Thanks for the clarification.

If you have headers it most likely won,t fit.

The backdrive system was used on ALL 1969 Camaro 3-speed and 4-speed transmissions, so the shifter had to be in reverse in order to remove the ignition key; it's explained in the owner's manual.
