Just sharing a little happiness on my end. I bought the car on 1 Nov 1991 and over the years have had it apart and have been completely through it mechanically. On 3 September last year I dropped it off at the restoration shop in Sparks, NV (Reno). It went down to bare metal, body came apart, glass came out along with 70% of the interior. Front buckets were recovered with new foam and springs repaired as necessary. New custom door panels (I have my originals, but they were cracking in the arm rests). Inner fenders, license plate brackets, misc. bracketry under the hood, and the wheels were all powder coated.
I picked it up this past Tuesday, 8 April....just in time for spring time in northern Nevada and a multiplicity of car shows and events that begin in ernest next month.

Perhaps it is my ignorance, but I thought it would be comfortweave, like my 712 car.

I don't know how many different seat material combos were available, but mine were / are just vinyl. Rear bench seat is original - it hasn't been recovered. Still in great shape - no one ever sits back there, except maybe during one of the parades during Hot August NIghts.

When I bought my SS350 a long time ago, it had no stripes and no emblems and just a bad paint job. I planned for the DX1 stripes eventually when I did a repaint, so I bought them and have stored them for all these years. More knowledge and years later now, I'm ready for a repaint, and I lsadly realize that DX1 was an option for non-SS cars - so I will get the boring everyday SS hockey stripes. Your car looks great and I was very tempted to do the DX1 stripes anyway.
DX1 black stripes NOS in boxes are on EBAY, special deal to any CRG members.

Should have these seats. Nice car!
-
No way to handle the DX1 stripe on a SS hood.
Yup, it should have those seats. The seats that are currently in it are for 715 interiors, not 716.

I know - when I purchased the car on 1 Nov 1991, the standard interior seats were in the car. I've obviously had both the front buckets as well as the rear bench out of the car on multiple occasions. The seat covering materials looked like it has been there for a very long time. If you didn't know better when you looked at the bottom of the bucket and bench seats as well as the back of the rear bench seat you'd say they had been there from day one.
I considered changing them, but since this is the way the seats were when I got the car, I left them as acquired.
The rear bench seat still has the "original to me" standard interior seat material, as it was, when I purchased the car in Nov 1991.
The first picture below, from May 1992, shows the front bucket seats and material (standard interior), as they were when I purchased the car. Due to wear through near the seat belt retainer, I had the front bucket seats recovered in late 2013.
The 2nd picture below is from April 2014. The front bench seats have been recovered. The rear bench seat has not been recovered - still in "original to me" condition; i.e. as it was, with the same material, when I purchased the car.
Third picture is my trim tag. Car was originally Dover White with a Dark Blue Vinyl top. When I purchased the car, the vinyl top had been removed and the car had been repainted.
Who knows how or when much less why standard interior seats wound up in a custom interior car. After all these years of owning the car with the interior as displayed, it is a moot point to me.

No worries. I had noticed you had said "Rear bench seat is original" and wanted to make sure you knew what should be there.
Seats get changed - easier to swap than recover....
