Originality / choke thermostat cover and linkage
« on: April 09, 2014, 05:56:11 PM »
hey guys, I was wondering if anybody could post a good close up pic of the thermo cover and linkage assembly for me. mine is long gone and I just want to see how they are properly installed. John Z posted a good engine bay pic but the fuel block was right in the way of the thermo cover.  I bought the spring assembly and cover but still missing the linkage rod. might just buy the kit repo to get the parts I need but still would like to see the proper installation. thanks guys  ???

yeah, I was thinking putting it in my display case with my die cast cars. but that was just for a minute, lol. it will be a month or so but I want to clean the underside of the hood and my grill needs to be painted silver. once I have the hood off I`ll do a light clean up on the top side of motor, maybe replace intake gaskets and valve cover gaskets too. then put it back on and take a few pics of it installed. yes Rich, I had Jerry restore my original carb. fresh rebuild and every single piece got re plated. Jerry has a test mule motor he bolts all his rebuilds on to set everything. It should be plug and play, just need the hard line to hook up my vacuum advance up, any ideas on who I should get the vacuum line kit from ? and does anybody have some trinket parts I need ? ie proper inner fender bolts and clips for the driver side, intake bolts ??   :)
