I keep forgetting that the body numbers were reset to 100,000 in August.... so my posts were irrelevant. Disregard...

Mark, I'm just curious. After checking further did you decide if your suspicions were right and this one has a repop tag?Only 243,085 69 Camaros were built. What body number is this one?...
am curious as to how common it was for a dealer to order stock without a customer orderI'm sure it was very common. Think about all the pictures of dealers lots where there are a ton of cars sitting out in the lot. Most, if not all, of those cars were waiting for buyers. I think a lot of your Yenko and Baldwin type Camaros were also ordered by the dealer without having a customer first.
Auburn Auctions America pics:I feel like I've seen that first one somewhere before!
Gary, the first one is for you...
Sarge, your information indicates a possibility that the rear that Rich was considering *COULD* have been original for his car (based on the short interval between rear date and car production date.. I'm sure he will be happy to hear that...It doesn't get much closer than mine I would bet. I hope the info helps him.
Howdy all. Still reading, and see that I have a couple of incorrect stickers on my 69 - black & gold air cleaner sticker & green & white coolant sticker. Can't peel them without the paint coming too. What's the best, least damaging way to remove them?I'd always try heat first, but with the coolant bottle you need to be real careful not to warp it.
Y'all take care,
Mike.
10-4.... the dude was so sincere... I bought into it enough that it had me second guessing myself Guess that's part of the fun, and satisfaction that I got it right!Mine was my D80 spoiler. I thought for sure it was OE, but the trim tag no showy the D80... That's the only big thing on mine that won't match the TT.
Hawk, same here... I had door side moldings on mine that I thought were original... Although the AIM shows them, through the forum I discovered that No Camaros were born with them, and that it was most likely a dealer add on (thanks Ed B !)...
and take someones comment of having an "untouched" car with a grain of salt next time ...Good idea. Alot of times it isn't on purpose and sometimes they're just idiots and blowhards. There have been a few things on my car that I thought were original and would have sworn to it, but have been proven not original.
Thanks. Like I said it is far from perfect but I am satisfied with it.In the end, that's all that matters.
