Seat mounting holes
« on: May 13, 2021, 09:57:02 PM »
Putting my car back together & noticed the seat mount on the floor has 8 threaded bolt holes for each bucket seat. When did that start?...Joe

There are two different locations for seat mounting, ~ 3/4" apart, which allows for moving the seat back by that much for long legged persons...  at least for 1969.  I'm unsure when/iff the '67-68 models has that option as well, but I'm sure someone does...  :)

Guess I never paid much attention to this. Can not remember seeing this on ANY cars.  Possibly an extended 69 model year thing?

Have any close up pics of the holes?

Noticed it on my 1st Z/28 many years ago; mid-Sept '69 build. Think it is a late production change.

Mentioned in the later revision of JMs '69 book.

My 04b 69 LA built has 2 sets, and 06a 68 Nor built just has one set. I made "extensions" for my 68.

Well the more data points we get, the better we can figure out when this started. Seems like it started earlier at LOS than NOR.
