Title: FAN SHROUD FOR 1969 CAMARO
Post by: Z28MIKE on November 20, 2020, 06:03:45 AM
Hello,

I am about to purchase an Aluminum Radiator from Summit Racing, and there are two for my 1969 Camaro w/o air.  one has a 20.75 wide core, and the other a 22.75 wide core.

I also need to purchase a new shroud from them as well.

My question is, and would be greatly appreciated if I get an answer, is , Will the Shroud work on the wider radiator?  Has anyone done this? Does someone make a shroud that fits the 1.5 inch wider one? P. S.  Sticking with mechanical fan.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. AND STAY HEALTHY, AND SAFE EVERYONE!!!!!!

If the factory shrouds fit these particular radiators, you're looking at a small block shroud for the 20.75", big block shroud for the 22.75". Depends on bracket configuration, plus OE style clips to mount the shroud to the brackets. Shouldn't be a problem, minor fabrication might be needed depending on the manufacturer. Reproduction shrouds are available for both, unless you choose to go the GM route (BB's are discontinued, I believe; small blocks are available but not inexpensive nowadays).
