Here is a thought. It could be the rear brake shoes scooting onthe backing plate. Especially true if you just did something to the brakes. It sould stop immediately if you lightly apply the brakes.

It would have to sell for a very good price to consider. I agree with the others, RUN. But it will be interesting to trace it more.

We really need a picture of the cowl tag. Some of the numbers don't look correct.
This could be interesting.
Please advise what you know about the car. ie 4spd man,convert, eng etc.
